It was the tiger who broke the silence. “Why do you want to kill me, human"?
The shogun, still gripping his sword, frowned. “I thought you wanted to kill me.”
“I was born in a land of towering mountains and endless rivers,” he said, his amber eyes glowing in the moonlight. “But hunters captured me. They put me in a cage, bound me with chains, and brought me here across the sea.”
